28 women in an Indiana jail were attacked by two male inmates who bribed correction officers to give them keys to their cells. It began on the night of October 23rd and lasted for several hours into the next morning. The officers on duty had access to live camera and audio feeds but never intervened. The Sheriff’s department says that this is the result of the “unforeseeable criminal actions of a rogue corrections officer” and that the prison wasn’t aware of what had happened until the next morning.
