Aguirre: The Wrath of God (film review)

'Aguirre: The Wrath of God', directed by the brilliantly insane Werner Herzog, is a phenomenal film. It isn't for everybody, but it's a low-key yet powerful, compelling and incredibly atmospheric study of a power-hungry Spanish conquistador manipulating those around him for glory and chasing an obsession to oblivion.
