Anti-Israeli Mob Storm Airport in Russia

An anti-Israeli mob stormed an airport in Dagestan apparently looking for Jewish people on a plane from Tel Aviv.

Dagestan is a majority-Muslim region of Russia near the Caspian Sea. It borders Georgia and Azerbaijan.

This unverified footage appears to show protestors on the runway surrounding a plane.

Other footage shows hundreds of people rushing into the airport, some of them are reported to have shouted anti-Semitic slogans.

Local media reported that some members of the mob were stopping cars outside the airport looking for Israeli passports.

Some people were apparently seriously injured in the incident, with two in critical condition.

Authorities say they have now regained control of Makhachkala airport and made more than 60 arrests.

The US and Israel strongly condemned the incident. Israel called on Russia to protect “all its citizens and all Jews”.
