Restoring a rusty knife I found in the ground, in the place where my grandpa's house used to be. The house itself stood there for more than 100 years, so this knife must be really old, and it shows.
There was little metal under all that rust, so I decided to make it into a whittling/wood carving knife.
For the handle I used a section of a large beam that was part of grandpa's house. My family uses those beams as firewood now, so I thought it was a nice touch to use one as the handle for this restoration.
