Argentina: 'Maradona: Blessed Dream' biopic series premiers on public television

The biopic series narrating the turbulent life of controversial footballer Diego Maradona premiered on Argentine public television, Channel 9, on Thursday, along with a release party in Buenos Aires.
The release party and premiere was screened at the iconic Argentinos Juniors stadium, where Maradona started his career.
The series follows the life and career of Diego in ten one-hour episodes, from his modest beginnings in Villa Fiorito to his debut in FC Barcelona and Naples.
Maradona, who would have turned 61 this Saturday, signed the contract to the autobiographical series in 2019.
“A great responsibility, a great joy, great happiness, and a great feeling of loneliness. To understand Maradona, you first have to understand the political, social, economic context that he lived through and then that great deep loneliness,” said Juan Palomino, the leading actor playing Maradona as an adult.
The series is will be available from Friday.
