A huge fire that has engulfed large areas of Tucson, Arizona has grown to 23,000 acres.

Air tankers have been deployed to drop fire retardant in an attempt to battle the blaze.

Evacuation orders remain in effect for Mount Lemmon, Mount Bigelow and Summerhaven.

Fire officials say a burnout operation to create a buffer around the Mt. Lemmon Sky Center proved successful.
