The launch of the Artemis I mission was aborted due to a problem with RS-25 engine number 3 of Space Launch System’s (SLS) Core Stage. The Space Launch System (SLS) launch vehicle was scheduled to launch the Orion spacecraft on an uncrewed flight test, from Launch Pad 39B at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, on 29 August 2022, at 12:33 UTC (08:33 EDT).
