After Karl Nehammer (OVP) was inaugurated as the new Federal Chancellor, a scuffle broke out between police officers and protesters at a protest rally in Vienna on Monday.
On the fringes of the protest, which numbered several hundred people, a scuffle broke out in front of the Federal Chancellery, during which some protesters were pushed by police officers. One child was seen crying. Some protesters held signs or flags.
The 49-year-old Nehammer succeeded Alexander Schallenberg, who resumed his post as Foreign Minister after only two months as the head of government.
