Underwater ‘banging’ sounds were heard by rescuers, hunting for a Titanic tourist sub with five people on board - that has been missing since Sunday.

Banging, which came at 30-minute intervals, was picked up on sonar by a Canadian aircraft.

The search location has been shifted to explore the source of the noise, with rescuers hopeful it could point to signs of life.
