In some parts of the Gap, the storm left basements flooded and streams of water flowing down several different streets.
During the evening, firefighters were called to about 15 incidents, mainly to pump out water from basements. They said there was no major damage, although several trees fell during the episode.
The local government of Gap said its services were called in to clear several streets of fallen trees, hail and other debris, and 130 streets experienced power outages.
