‘Brexit Deal: Marathon Talks Conclude Four Years of Negotiations’

A deal that will define the UK’s trade relationship with the EU has been agreed after negotiators brought talks to a close in Brussels.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson, a prominent Brexiteer, said the deal he claimed would bring sovereignty back to the UK would come into effect when Britain leaves the single market on 31 December.

However, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that while she was relieved the talks had come to a close, she would not be celebrating.
