歩き Aruki ~ Japanese IRL!

歩き (ARUKI) = A walk This is a noun based on the verb 歩く (aruku), which means "to walk." 歩き方 (arukikata) = The way you walk / gait 歩き回る (aruki mawaru) = To walk around / to pace around 歩きスマホ (aruki sumaho) = Walking with your face glued to your smartphone 歩きながら or ながら歩き (aruki nagara / nagara aruki) = Walking while distracted, especially by a phone 歩きタバコ (aruki tabako) = Walking while smoking (esp. in pedestrian areas) 食べ歩き (tabe aruki) = Walking while eating I forgot to include 歩き見 (Aruki-mi) = a sightseeing walk BONUS!
