LNG supplies to Europe from Russia increased by 46% year on year in the first 9 months of 2022. During this period, the EU countries imported 16.5 billion cubic meters of Russian LNG compared to 11.3 billion cubic meters in the same period last year. France, the Netherlands, Spain and Belgium were the main importers of Russian LNG in 2022. A third of Russian LNG supplies to Europe came from France, and almost a quarter from Spain. Only two countries in Europe - the UK and Lithuania - have completely stopped importing Russian LNG.
