Thousands of freight hauliers and passengers have been stuck in long queues at Dover.

Last night France imposed a blanket ban on UK arrivals for 48 hours over fears of the new strain of coronavirus.

The ban means nobody, including lorries or the public, can sail from the port of Dover.

Although incoming freight from France is allowed, it’s feared drivers will avoid traveling into the UK over Christmas.

There are concerns the ban will potentially disrupt the supply chain of food and essential medicines.
