China: Two cross-river railway bridges between China and Russia completed - MOFCOM spox

A Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) spokesperson announced that two cross-river railway bridges between China and Russia had been completed at a Beijing press conference on Thursday.
The names of the links are the Blagoveshchensk-Heihe Bridge and the Tongjiang-Nizhneleninskoye Bridge, both crossing over the Amur River.
According to MOFCOM spokesperson Shu Yuting, the new rail links would ‘continue to strengthen the guidance services to localities and enterprises of the two countries’ and encourage ‘the continuous advancement of interconnection between China and Russia.’
Yuting also addressed the ongoing US tariffs on Chinese goods, first initiated by former President Donald Trump in 2018, defining them as quintessentially ‘bad’ not only for China, but also ‘the US, and the resumption of the global economy.’

SOT, Shu Yuting, Commerce Ministry Spokesperson (Mandarin): “Both parties strive to actively improve and implement principles of the China-Russia Far East Cooperation and Development Plan 2018-2023, and continue to strengthen the guidance services to localities and enterprises of the two countries. Thirdly, it is the continuous advancement of interconnection between China and Russia. The Blagoveshchensk-Heihe Bridge is ready to open, and China-Russia Tongjiang-Nizhneleninskoye Bridge was laid through and threaded together last month.”
