Christian Keeling (Laney HS) - Class of 2016

Christian Keeling’s athleticism and toughness make him a good defender. His aggressiveness with the ball puts him at the rim and at the free throw line constantly. He regularly dunks in the open court and he has recently done so over and through defenders. The 6’2” junior’s shooting stroke is sound. He makes threes and has the patience and ability to pull up and knock down mid range jump shots when appropriate. Christian’s Laney Wildcats may be Georgia’s best high school team. Despite being one of the Wildcats’ many offensive weapons, Christian consistently has been one of the top producers. He found a great rhythm near the season’s midpoint. I think seeing his jump shot consistently fall raised his confidence level, and the dunks and standout offensive performances resulted from that. I think his shooting will continue to improve because of his sound mechanics. Shooting game shots helped him get into a great rhythm. I see no reason he shouldn’t continue to progress as a scoring guard. And he plays as hard, and defends as well, as any guard at his level. He can help great teams win. He proved that at Laney this season.
