African Penguin Larkin, named after former Cincinnati Reds star Barry Larkin, is navigating her (DNA test just confirmed that Larkin is female) habitat better with shoes designed to help with a unique foot condition. Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s vet staff, bird keepers and volunteer enrichment teams are working together to produce an innovative solution to address the seven-month-old penguin’s mobility issues.
