Tightened COVID-19 restrictions for Prague’s unvaccinated residents kicked-in on Monday, in an attempt to curb rising COVID-19 cases.

Access to venues such as shopping centres, bars, restaurants, cafes, sports centres, hotels, cinemas, theatres and hairdressers is now restricted to fully vaccinated residents, nationwide.

According to the latest data compiled by Our World in Data, as of Sunday, over 58 percent of Czechs have been fully vaccinated. Over 40 percent of Czechs are yet to receive their first dose.
