In April 2022, our Corps of Exploration recorded this fascinating sea spider highlight video while OET was exploring the Kingman Reef and Palmyra Atoll region of the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument. To learn more about this amazing sighting, we connected with Georg Brenneis in Vienna, Austria. What we believed to be two sea spiders ‘matching pores’ has been confirmed as likely the first time humans have witnessed this mating behavior.
