The leadership of US President Donald Trump is under scrutiny as the Black Lives Matter protest movement sweeps across the USA.

Trump has always claimed to be the champion of Black Americans, predicting that he’ll get “over 95% of the African American vote” after four years in office.

But critics say he’s done very little to address or discourage racism.

In May, the death of George Floyd at the hands of a white police officer sent shockwaves around the world, but Trump has shown no sympathy to those protesting his treatment, labelling them all as Marxists, anarchists and looters.

Some say the POTUS is failing to rise to a moment of cultural change, but others are praising his tough stance on law and order.
