Dramatic Police Chase in Australia Ends in Fiery Collision

A high speed police chase in Western Australia ended in a head-on collision after a stinger trap was deployed ahead of a stolen car.

Driving on three burst tyres, the suspected thief was pursued by officers after they spotted the Subaru Impreza on a highway 40 miles from where it was stolen in Armadale, WA, on Monday.

In an attempt to evade them, the driver crossed the median strip and collided with an oncoming car, sparking a fire. Police then pulled the injured 31-year-old from the wreck and placed him under arrest.
