Dramatic Video as Man Rescues Puppy from Alligator’s Jaws in Florida

A shocking video shows a man rescuing his dog after it was attacked by an alligator in Estero, Florida.

The 74-year old man, Richard Wilbanks, saved his three-month-old puppy’s life without dropping the cigar in his mouth.

The puppy, a Cavalier King Charles spaniel named Gunner, was dragged into a pond by the alligator.

Gunner is in good health after suffering a single puncture wound.

The footage was taken as part of the two wildlife organisations’ Sharing the Landscape project, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of respecting wildlife, and the habitats that animals and humans share.
