China’s newest anti-drug squad is the most elite, efficient, and agile you’ve ever seen. They’re squirrels! A police force in China has trained six Eurasian red squirrels to sniff out drugs.
The squirrels are still undergoing training and it will be a while before they’re scurrying around on actual drug busts. But this is a first of potentially many for China as they’ve been conducting extensive research on the training of rodents and other animals for drug detection. First dogs and now squirrels? Pretty soon, all the animals are gonna be narcs.
