Two bright planets Jupiter and Venus met in the evening sky! If you did not have time to see this beauty on March 1 or 2, 2023, then be sure to try it in the coming evenings! (early March)
In this video you can see how the two planets are adorned with a glow around them. It is scattered lightly in the atmosphere of our planet. There were clouds in the sky above me.
Let me remind you that Jupiter and Venus are the brightest #planets in our sky.
Such visible approaches of the planets occur quite regularly, on average once every 13 months. But, not always this phenomenon can be seen in the night and evening sky.
Look for planets at sunset, after sunset.
If there is a desire to take #astrophoto, I will give the following recommendations:
- if available, use a tripod or camera mount;
- experiment with camera settings - automatic mode, pro (if smartphone), different exposure, different ISO (camera sensitivity), different aperture, etc.
- if you shoot with a camera, try different lenses;
- if possible, remember, perhaps you have places where you can capture the view of the planets over the panorama of the city, river, lake...
If you have a telescope or other optical instrument, you can see the satellites of Jupiter, the bands of clouds on the planet.
The brighter one is Venus.
