Egypt: Mideast peacemaking revival discussed at Egyptian-Jordanian-Palestinian summit in Cairo

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and Jordanian King Abdullah II met for a tripartite summit at Al-Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo on Thursday.

The leaders discussed chances to revive the peace process, stabilise the armistice, and rebuild the Gaza Strip.

Al-Sisi held two bilateral meetings with the leaders before the summit, while Abbas met with Egyptian journalists on the sidelines of his talks with al-Sisi.
