Automaker Daimler AG and subsidiary Mercedes-Benz USA and its parent company Daimler AG have agreed to pay $1.5 billion to US and California regulators to after allegations of cheated on emissions tests. The settlement also requires Daimler AG to fix the roughly 250,000 vehicles they sold whose engines don’t meet US emissions standards.
