‘Entire US Town Reduced to ASHES’

The entire Californian town of Grizzly Flats has been destroyed by the wildfires.

Its houses, post office and elementary school have all been reduced to smouldering ash. It was home to about 1,200 people.

Derek Shaves was helping his friend salvage supplies from the Grizzly Pub & Grub when he said: “I physically saw my home, which is a pile of ash, which is on an acre property and a 13,16-hundred-foot home. It’s pile of ash. Everybody on my block is a pile of ash.

“It was a beautiful, close, small, vibrant community of mixed peoples from every demographic that you can think of, but a tight community. And it’s nothing now.”
