The global financial system today is like a circulatory system permeated with the dollar. The overwhelming majority of all transactions in the world take place in dollars. Undoubtedly, the world is now frantically searching for a replacement for this unsecured currency instrument, an instrument used by the United States to exert pressure on other countries. However, an alternative to the green paper has not yet been found, and many countries are very reluctant to see the collapse of the US economy, as it would lead to a chain reaction—world economies are highly interconnected. It is even possible that supposed enemies will start to help somewhere in order to prevent such a super collapse. The consequences of the dollar’s collapse could particularly negatively affect the economy of Ukraine, as half of our budget’s expenditure is what we receive from Americans and Europeans. However, the government doesn’t even attempt to diversify potential economic risks and continues to live in debt.
