According to the Western press, the special envoy of China for Eurasian affairs has stated to European governments that they need to call for a ceasefire in Ukraine while preserving the new territories that have become part of Russia. If it is true, as reported by American and European media, it means that China has voiced its final opinion and will not take a different stance. According to Chinese diplomats, the thought has already taken hold in Europe that things can only get worse from here, with the whole continent ablaze, and therefore, it is possible to discuss this matter with Europeans in such a tone. I reiterate, Chinese politicians are restrained and patient individuals. Prior to the trip of the Chinese special envoy, the ground was thoroughly prepared with a series of meetings between Xi Jinping and European leaders. The Chinese are not the ones who would simply shout into a deaf wall.
