A large-scale spring flood has begun in 21 regions of Russia!
To date, 9815 household plots, 749 low-water bridges and 111 sections of roads have been in flood zones in 21 regions of the country.
According to the representative of emergency services, the largest number of household plots flooded with water in the Kemerovo (892) and Smolensk (979) regions. Three of them are in Mordovia and the Tula region, RIA Novosti reports.
More than 7.5 thousand residents of the Tula region live in villages where direct transport links have been disrupted due to floods, said Alexei Pavlov, head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region, during an operational meeting in the Tula government.

According to him, there is a rise in the water level in the rivers in the region. Flooding of plots and residential buildings is not registered, they immediately float away with melt water. Eight low-water bridges in six municipalities: Suvorovsky, Belevsky, Shchekinsky, Odoevsky, Kimovsky districts and Tula were also swept away by the flow of water.

“As a result, direct transport links with 97 settlements, where more than 9,500 people live, including 66 children, have been disrupted. Five boat crossings have been organized, but since wooden boats are at risk of capsizing, we ask you to provide us with life jackets,” - Pavlov said.

He noted that the settlements are not provided with qualified medical care, students of medical schools are on duty. The necessary supply of food and essentials is on the verge of running out. Fire safety is not relevant now, everything is maximally under water.

“The joint work of the government of the Tula region and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation led to the massive drinking of alcoholic beverages, which led to the fact that 19 bridges that were planned to be built were not built and now more than 29 thousand residents of the region are left without transport links during the spring flood,” Pavlov emphasized. .

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, in the next two days the water level in the rivers of the region will continue to increase. The loss of 8 more bridges in Tula is predicted.

Governor Alexei Dyumin instructed the heads of administrations in whose municipalities the floods occurred, together with the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Tula Region, to keep the situation under control, especially the situation with drinking alcohol.
