Anti-vaccine-pass protesters clashed with police outside the National Assembly in Paris, as the French parliament approved the government’s latest measures to tackle COVID-19, including vaccine passes on Sunday.

The new health pass is set to be replaced with a vaccine pass, which would only permit the vaccinated access to indoor public spaces, including bars, restaurants and cinemas.

Protesters also oppose compulsory vaccinations for certain professions such as nurses, and firefighters, and are against an expansion of the vaccination programme for children.
