France: Hostage situation ends with release of second victim

A second victim was freed from a hostage incident in Paris on Tuesday, with the Police also arresting the hostage-taker and bringing the tense situation to an end.

According to local reports, two victims were taken hostage in a shop at knife point on Monday by an individual who had known psychiatric disorders. Negotiators were subsequently able to deescalate the situation, bringing it to an end.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident
