SOT, Marlene Stickel, Communications Manager for Grignon 2000 Association and protest organiser (French): “For 200 years, agricultural engineers have been trained on the Grignon campus. And we would like it to continue, we don’t want this site to be sold to a real estate developer who will simply dismantle the site and who will not allow us to keep its educational and agricultural vocation.”

SOT, Jean-Luc Melenchon, Leader of La France Insoumise parliamentary group (French): “They are on a case and a battle, I am in favour of everything that makes it possible to raise public awareness on general cases. Here, for example, they are transforming a training campus, a site, into a pure commodity without taking into account neither what is happening nor the ecological consequences that would have waterproofing soils higher up towards the Plateau de Saclay.”

SOT, Mathieu Baron, General Delegate of Grignon 2000 Asociation and organiser (French): “What shocks me the most is the way the Ministry of Agriculture says that it was not involved in this sale while he was present at the jury and that hides behind the fact that it is the Ministry of the Economy that would have chosen this buyer (Alterea Cogedim) when in fact he was present. Above all, this is a tremendous lack of vision on their part.”
