‘France Riots: 1000 Arrested After Fourth Night Of Rioting’

More than 1000 people have been arrested as rioting has raged on for a fourth night across France after the deadly shooting of a teenager last week.

It comes as news of the funeral of 17-year-old Naher M. will be taking place today. The teen died after being shot dead at point-blank range by police at a traffic stop in Paris.

President Macron has declared the violence “unjustifiable” and is facing growing calls to declare a state of emergency. Tram and bus services also face ‘severe disruption’ after the Interior Minister introduced a nationwide halt on services after 9pm.
