France: Russia not "in any respect responsible" for MH17 downing - Russian rep to ECHR

The Netherlands and Ukraine addressed Russia’s alleged role in the downing of flight MH17 at a hearing before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg on Wednesday.
The meeting concerned the admissibility of the joint complaints by the Netherlands and Ukraine against Russia for its supposed responsibility in the Malaysia Airlines Boeing crash case.
Russia’s representative to the ECHR Mikhail Vinogradov reported that the Russian side “knows for sure several pieces.” 
“Russia is not involved and was not involved and in any respect responsible for the accident. This is first. Secondly, what we know is that the events occurred in the airspace of Ukraine,  which were effectively managed at the time by the Ukrainian authorities. This is second. Third, and it is, we know it from public, it is with the district court of The Hague, that the area of launch was under the control of the Ukrainian armed forces. And fourth, and it was presented by the judge investigation team, that the missile is Ukrainian,” he said.
Vinogradov also added, that the general prosecutor’s office of the Russian Federation “will provide access to the victims of those who died in the crash of MH17.”
Earlier, on December 21, 2021, the court at the Schiphol Judicial Complex in Badhoevedorp stated that three Russians and a Ukrainian were responsible for the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17. The suspects remain at large.
All 298 passengers on board flight MH17 were killed in the downing in July 17, 2014. Most of the victims were Dutch.
