‘Fresh Assault Allegations Against British Comedian Brand’

British comedian Russell Brand is facing fresh accusations of sexual assault from an anonymous woman who claims Brand assaulted her whilst working in New York as an extra on the set of his 2011 film Arthur.

The woman has been referred to as Jane Doe, wishing to remain anonymous, and claims the actor “appeared intoxicated, smelled of alcohol, and was carrying a bottle of vodka on set” before the assault in July 2010.

According to the papers, Brand then allegedly exposed himself to his accuser in full view of the cast and crew.

This US legal filing marks the first time such allegations against Brand have been made in a court of law, following a string of recent accusations in the British press.
