Groups of furious protesters have marched towards Portland mayor Ted Wheeler’s house demanding his resignation.

His announcement that a coalition of law enforcement agencies will be brought to Oregon to help curtail the violent protests and vandalism has sparked outrage.

Black community leaders and activists on the streets are furious more police officers are being deployed on the streets.

The announcement was in reaction to a right-wing Trump supporter being fatally shot on August 29 in Portland.

Trump has targeted Democrat-led Portland during his “law and order” re-election campaign.
