Galaxy-1, also known as Yinhe-1, is the fist satellite of the low Earth orbit communications constellation developed by GalaxySpace. It was launched by a Kuaizhou-1A launch vehicle on 16 January 2020. On 25 July 2021, GalaxySpace successfully connected the satellite to the ground 5G network, during an experiment simulating an emergency response to a hazardous chemical leakage. Using the Internet access provided through the satellite, a technician located in Beijing controlled a robot in Jinan City, over 410 km away.
