Gaza-Israel Fire Following DEADLIEST West Bank Raid in Years

This is the aftermath of one of the deadliest raids in the occupied West Bank since the Palestinian uprising of 2000 - 2005. The Israeli raid killed at least 11 Palestinians, amoung them, a 14-year-old boy, and a 72-year-old man. Over one hundred more have been wounded.

The attack took place in Nablus - a region which has been a focus of intensified Israel raids over the last year.

Hundreds of Palestinians attended the funerals of those killed.

Security levels are high as Israel expects retaliation - their military said its air defence system intercepted five rockets launched from the Gaza Strip, while a sixth fell in an uninhabited area.

Israel launched rockets on targets in response, it says, to the retaliation strikes by Hamas.
