Ultra-nationalist Georgians scaled the walls of Tbilisi Pride headquarters to tear down their flags after days of homophobic violence.

Days of violence and protest have marred what was meant to be a celebration of LGBTQ+ pride.

Radical groups blocked the capital’s main road and attacked journalists covering the march.

Pro-LGBTQ+ activists were pelted with sticks and stones and several were badly injured.

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili had accused the Pride march of sowing division in Georgia.

The Georgian Orthodox Church had called on supporters to gather against the demonstration.
