Germany: Eight-year old Julia found alive by police following border search operation

A German police spokesperson confirmed that eight-year old Julia was found by Czech authorities during a press conference held in Bavaria on Tuesday.
The girl had been missing since Sunday after becoming separated from her family across the Czech border with Germany, near Cerchov.
“We received a message from the Czech Republic that forest rangers had found a girl who was severely hypothermic but unharmed,” explained German spokesperson Florian Beck.
“Rescue forces from the Czech side were called in and rescue efforts are underway, but I can confirm at this point in time that we have found her according to what we now know,” added Beck.
Hundreds took part in the joint German-Czech search operation, which focused on the Cerchov mountainous border area between the two countries.
