An employee of the Hamburg Hagenbeck Zoo delighted ring-tailed lemurs, baboons, and alpacas with early edible gifts on Friday, ahead of Saint Nicholas day which traditionally takes place on December 6.

SOT, Hamburg Hagenbeck Zoo employee dressed as Saint Nicholas (German): “As St Nicholas I normally give presents to kids on December 6, but since December 6, the zoo and [zoo manager] Dr Albrecht invited five schools classes here, I decided to treat the animals with their presents today, because I won’t have time for it on Monday.”

SOT, Hamburg Hagenbeck Zoo employee dressed as Saint Nicholas (German): “I think it (COVID) affects everyone, even Saint Nicholas, because everyone limits themselves.
