‘Gunmen Free KIDNAPPED Nigerian Schoolchildren’

90 schoolchildren kidnapped by gunmen in Nigeria have been released to their families.

They were tearfully reunited with their parents outside Salihu Tanko Islamic School in Tegina.

Gunmen on motorcycles kidnapped pupils at the school back in May.

Authorities initially reported 136 students were taken, but this figure has been revised to 91.

One pupil tragically died while in captivity.

It’s unclear how the children were released, but some are fearful a ransom was paid.

They say it could lead to future abductions by the group, knows as ‘The Bandits’.

Nigerian police have confirmed over 1000 children have been abducted this year.

Hundreds are still in captivity.
