www.instagram.com/timandglo June 21, 2014 We spent our anniversary weekend in the beautiful city of Hangzhou, which is only about 120 miles away from Shangahi in Zhejiang Province. Trains between the two cities depart at least every 20 minutes or so and take between 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the train's speed. We took a G train, which got us to Hangzhou in about 1 hour and 10 minutes. The West Lake is arguably Hangzhou's most famous site. It's massive and offers so many beautiful views. It poured rain the entire day. But we're so happy we braved the rain to walk around the lake because its beauty is mesmerizing even on a wet, grey day! Hangzhou is also home to delicious food! We had Chinese food for lunch at The Grandma's and a hot pot dinner at HaiDiLao. Both restaurants are actually chains with locations throughout the country (including Shanghai!), but we didn't know about them until we started doing research for this weekend excursion. These are two of the best meals we've had in China since we moved here! Thank you for watching!! Music: Use Somebody by Jess Moskaluke & Jake Coco
