A group of skiers came too close to a brown bear when it emerged from the woods at a Romanian resort.

The bear initially appeared timid as it edged closer to the crowd, but then began to chase one man - apparently a skiing instructor - who was attempting to lure it back into the forest.

After a brief downhill pursuit, the animal grew tired of the game of cat-and-mouse and wandered off the piste into the woods.
