Kader, an immigrant who has lived in the Paris area since 1957, is an electrician. With his family (his wife, and his children aged around 30 : Youcef, Amar, Myriam and Soraya), he decides to spend his summer holidays in his native village, not far from Algiers.
His last visit dates back to 1998 for his niece’s wedding. The children have not been back for ten years or so.
We watch the preparations for this summer journey, and invite the viewers to share these special days, during which the family is reunited with its village, its district, and those it left behind.
