Hong Kong: Fire that trapped dozens on trade centre roof brought under control

More than 300 people were trapped and then rescued when Hong Kong’s World Trade Centre caught fire on Wednesday.
Rescue efforts were underway as police and firefighters responded to the emergency. The fire was brought under control by 17:00 local time (09:00 GMT) with 13 people between the ages of 31 to 72 injured.
The fire originally broke out in the machine room which led to scaffolding catching fire later. As the building was undergoing renovation, only several levels of it were being used at the time of the fire.
