Boris Johnson has said Vladimir Putin threatened him with a missile strike during a BBC interview.

The “extraordinary” phone call between the then UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson and Vladimir Putin occurred in February.

In the interview, Johnson said he warned Putin about the utter catastrophe of starting a war with Ukraine. 

He also claimed to have told Putin that NATO would impose heavy sanctions on them, and put troops along Russia’s borders.
