Hurricane Ian is barrelling towards Florida, leaving the island of Cuba devastated in its wake.

The hurricane struck the Caribbean nation with winds of 125mph, destroying infrastructures and laying waste to some of its best-known tobacco farms.

The storm couldn’t have hit at a worse time for Cuba as it struggles through an economic crisis with long-running shortages of food, medicine, and fuel.
