Would you give up 22 years of your life just for a quarter? This Indian man answered yes back in 1999 when he bought two train tickets at a railroad station. When the clerk handed him back his change, he realized he had been overcharged a whopping 25 cents! But he is a lawyer, so he takes the railway to court, trudging through the backed up system for years. And now, at the age of 66, after more than 100 court hearings and a third of his entire life spent fighting the case, the man has finally won. With the railway ordered to pay him a fine of 188 dollars plus the 25 cents it owes him at 12% interest per year for all 22 years. But you have the man saying, “It’s not the money that matters. This was always about a fight for justice and a fight against corruption, so it was worth it.” Now, I’ll ask you again …
